Joe was a member of the Arctic Club and recent recipient of an Arctic Club award allowing him to carry out an undergraduate research expedition to Greenland. He was sadly killed in a climbing accident at the end of March whilst climbing in Scotland. He gave a superb presentation of the expedition at the 2024 Arctic Club Dinner. Joe’s funeral will be held at 09:45 am on Friday 30th May, St Paul’s Church, Huddersfield Road, Stalybridge SK15 2PT. After the service there will be a wake at Stalybridge Celtic, Mottram Road, SK15 2RT. In memory of Joe please dress in bright colours or even outdoor gear. Please let his parents know if you plan on attending.
Instead of flowers it would be preferred if you are able to donate via the link below. In memory of Joe money will be raised to support Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team, Young Lives VS Cancer and Macmillan Cancer Support, as these are causes close to Joe’s and his parents heart.
